Eligibility

Any individual is welcome to sign up with BooksCafe, however, we reserve the right to accept or reject membership at our sole discretion. Membership is for personal use only and member cannot re-lend books borrowed from BooksCafe at any time. Doing so will entail automatic cancellation of registration.

Account Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, password & membership details and for restricting access to your computer.

Rental period

BooksCafe proposes a reasonable rental period with a restriction on the number of books that a member can hold at any point in time. No penalty will be levied for delayed return of books. However, under specific circumstances where other members have requested for and are waiting for a book/s for more than 7 days, BooksCafe reserves the right to contact and request members holding book/s to be returned. Members are requested to then return the requested book/s within two (2) days of such request.

Lost or Damaged books

All book(s) sent to you have been checked to be in a good condition before dispatch. Upon receipt of the book(s), you must ensure that the same is in good condition. Any anomaly, if found, must be reported to our delivery executive. Failure to check and/or report the same will be constituted as your having received a book in good condition. We expect you to maintain the book as you take care of your personal belongings. At the time of pick-up, our courier executive will check for any damage to the book(s) and will intimate you accordingly. Upon receipt of the book(s), we will verify the same. In the event of a book being damaged, we will contact you, and intimate you about the same. The determination of a book being "damaged" will be at the sole discretion of BooksCafe. However, in case of a lost book, in such an eventuality you will have to pay us the cost of the book.

Your relationship with BooksCafe

At BooksCafe we value your relationship and expect a long association with you. Your relationship with us is that of an independent customer. You are not an employee or agent of BooksCafe. Neither you nor other members are authorized to make any statement or representations on our behalf. We will not be bound by, or be liable for any statement or representation made by you.

Changes to Terms of Use

BooksCafe reserves the right, from time to time, with or without notice, to change these Terms of Use in its sole and absolute discretion. The most current version of these Terms of Use can be reviewed by clicking on the “Terms of Use” located at the bottom of the pages of the (www.bookscafe.co.in) website. The most current version of the Terms of Use will supersede all previous versions. Your continued use of our service after changes are made means that you agree to be bound by such changes.

Information provided by a member, such as identification and contact details, will be for the exclusive use of BooksCafe. We may use this information to provide you with access to our services and communications about service-related or any other relevant information. We do not rent, sell or disclose any of our customers' personal information to third parties.
